Here's an article written by my former professor at Ateneo GSB Rene Azurin
STRATEGIC PERSPECTIVE
René B. Azurin
Changing lifestyles
Don’t look now but our lifestyles are changing. At $200 per barrel of oil, regular unleaded gasoline will be P90 per liter and LPG for cooking will be P990 per 11-kg cylinder. (These figures come from a pricing model developed by Energy Consultant Marcial Ocampo.) At those prices, I will have to shelve plans to tour the country by car –visiting long unseen rela…

Recently, in Quezon City , long lines of our countrymen bought kilo packages of government subsidized rice. It’s been ages since such lines formed, during those three years of the Japanese Occupation when we bought a pack of Akebono cigarettes, rice, or rations of cloth. The rice crisis today brings to our immediate consciousness how a ban… Continue

Hirap Ng Buhay
Dahil sa kahirapan ako ay nangibang bayan
Mahal sa buhay ay iniwan
Kahit masakit sa kalooban
Dahil sa kahirapan tinitiis init ng araw
Tinitiis lamig ng panahon
Para lang makaahon at makaipon
Ganyan talaga ang buhay
Kahit ano nalang makitawa at makisaya
Ang tanging panlunas
Upang kalungkutan ay mabawasan
Upang hinanakit ay malimutan
Kahit panandalian lamang
Ganyan talaga ang buhay

*Our bodily resurrection is directly related to God's purpose for mankind.
Adam and Eve's disobedience led to a spiritual death and resulted in three consequences: separation from God, corruption of man's nature, and spiritual condemnation unto death.
However, just as death came through one man, Adam, eternal life comes to us through another Man - the Lord Jesus Christ. The spiritual condemnation that was once ours was settled at Calvary's cross. It was there that Jesus took on Himself the sin…
