Hey Zac,
All I can say is you are very lucky to have good genes for your good looks and your intelligence. From where? I know you're too smart to know where they come from. Your parents must be very proud of you. From the way you write, I can tell that you are a mature and focused young man. A valedictorian? That resume is looking attractive to recruiting companies already and not to mention a magnet for girls. Ha, ha, ha!
Zac, you are aiming high. Stay on track and don't give into peer pressures. I want to see you succeed.
In pursuing a dream and vision obstacles do not hinder a person. You have only to believe in God and trust His designs.
I feel what you feel. You are a bit luckier than me when I was a small boy. I got only a break when I entered the seminary. It was there where I got my education. It was, indeed, an integrated formation, there was also a kind of regimentation. Had it not been for the seminary I just don't know where I am now.
Know what? I graduated because of the immense munificence and the goodness of heart of a priest-benefactor. He paid for my tuition fees. I almost gave up studying due to hardship of life. But, I moved on. My parents could not send me to school. I was just an ice-candy boy. I peddled ice candies in my town, even in farms. I went to selling pandesal, too. I also worked as a servant to a couple of homes to support my education. I became a person when I entered the seminary. Prior to that, i belittled myself, commiserate with myself and our fate as a poor family.
There is so much experiences I learned in the university of life that I would want to share to you. But, let these be, for the moment.
Did you know that I am jobless (diables) now because of man's profound insensitivity and inconsideration? And it is also about politics. My gosh! But, so far, and thanks to God, I still maintain my sensibility. Ha ha ha!
Keep up the good work. It's never too late to pursue your dreams! How old are you?
Just want to let you know that I have scholars in UP, AMA, PUP and Mary Chiles University. Some already graduated. I maybe able to help you if you want to go to a better school. I will be in Manila for the whole month of April for their graduations......so, stay in touch, okay?
I also had a factory in Gapan, Nueva Ecija. I was manufacturing beachwalk sandals and importing them to the USA.
Thanks sa note mo.. hope to hear more from you.. i hope you will be able to finish your studies and follow your interests/inspiration in the coming years.. Fides

Welcome Zac!
How true it is. It is always hard to say
"I am sorry". It takes a lot of humility. Just do it and swallow some of that pride. God Bless!
